ACHF’s launches its inaugural Community Health Symposium
On June 21, ACHF hosted a Community Health Symposium, bringing together community members and leaders who share a common goal of improving health for all. Oregon State Representative, Pam Marsh (House District 5), and Peter Buckley from Southern Oregon Success, led discussions with other local experts on topics such as assessing community health needs, social determinants of health, and equitable access.
The foundation believes that every person should have the opportunity to attain their full health potential. We recognize that where someone is born, where they live, where they work, and more, can determine whether they are able to live their healthiest life. Presenters at the Community Health Symposium shared data, stories, and lessons that highlighted the biggest health and wellness challenges in our communities as well as the successes.
Support for the symposium was provided by The Ford Family Foundation. To find out more about the symposium speakers and their topics, click here.
