Partnering with you to enhance the health of our community
Ashland Community Health Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Founded in 1977, the foundation was originally established to provide a way for community members to support the work of Ashland Community Hospital. Over the past 44 years, the generosity of our donors has had an incredible impact on the variety and quality of health care services available in our community.
Expanding our mission
In 2021, the board of directors approved the expansion of its mission to include support of community health and wellness initiatives in Ashland, Talent, and Phoenix. Through this expanded direction, we partner with our generous supporters and local non-profit organizations to enhance the health of our community by advancing innovative and equitable approaches to health and wellness, in addition to our continued support of our local hospital.

Equity Statement
At Ashland Community Health Foundation, we believe that every person should have the opportunity to attain their full health potential. We recognize that systemic barriers and the social determinants of health prevent some individuals from doing so.
As an organization, we have the opportunity to address health inequities and have embarked on our own equity journey to learn how we can best serve the community.
As we learn and grow, our intention is to be thoughtful and deliberate in our journey.
Our actionable goals include:
- Educating board and staff members about diversity, equity and inclusion, health equity, and the social determinants of health through learning sessions.
- Ensuring our grantmaking reflects our vision of advancing equitable approaches to community health and wellness.
- Expanding board membership to reflect the diverse communities we support.
- Engaging community members to learn what changes would be the most impactful and empower them to live their full health potential.
- Reviewing our scholarship application and selection process to ensure it is equitable for all eligible applicants.
