ACHF’s Allied Health Scholarship opens a door to success in high-demand health care careers
In 2022, Ashland Community Health Foundation began partnering with Rogue Community College (RCC) to award scholarships to local students pursuing allied health careers, such as medical or dental assistants, pharmacy technicians, phlebotomists, paramedics, and EMTs.

“This scholarship was truly the blessing that allowed me to succeed at my highest potential.”

We need local Allied Health caregivers
Our community faces an urgent and enduring need for caregivers.
Many young adults are drawn to careers helping others, but too often, financial hardships make it challenging to achieve their goals and dreams. And for many reasons, there is currently a gap for students planning to train for entry-level health professions and available scholarship opportunities.
Our partnership with RCC helps fill this gap by providing tuition assistance to students who will soon staff our hospitals, clinics, and emergency services.
“These Allied Health programs will help people get into the workforce and at the patient’s side within a matter of months.”
– Karen Drescher, former Board Member
Be here for them, they’ll be there for you
Currently, 100% of students who complete RCC’s Allied Health program enter the workforce immediately after receiving their certifications.
Making a gift to our Allied Health Scholarship fund helps students reach their career goals and makes sure there are skilled caregivers available for you, your family, and neighbors when you need them.
Imagine the impact you can have on a young person’s future, and on the delivery of care in our community.
