The City of Ashland establishes a new fund at ACHF
The Ashland Affordable Childcare Fund was established at Ashland Community Health Foundation by the City of Ashland to recognize the vital role accessible childcare plays in the health and economic wellbeing of Ashland families.
The fund will carry forward the positive impact of the Ad Hoc Affordable Childcare Committee, which facilitated the investment of almost $500,000 to strengthen childcare services in the community.
The Ashland Affordable Childcare Fund addresses childcare affordability, improves families’ access to early learning programs, and supports the well-being of Ashland families with children under the age of five.
Our community thrives when you fund childcare. Providing quality care for children keeps caregivers in the workforce, supports healthy working families, and a vibrant local economy.
Paula Hyatt, Ashland parent
Gifts to the fund will help remove barriers to childcare in our community, supporting a variety of efforts, including:
- scholarships for low-income families
- facility and infrastructure improvements for service providers
- training and recruitment of specialized staff
We are grateful to the City of Ashland for making a difference for families with young children.
