More than $25,000 in scholarships awarded to future health care workers
Ashland Community Health Foundation is proud to announce that $25,750 in scholarships has been awarded to support ten future health care workers. These scholarships, ranging from $1,250 to $4,000 per student, are helping to ease the financial burden of tuition for individuals pursuing careers in the allied and emergency health fields.
With our community facing a critical shortage of health care providers at every level, ACHF is committed to removing barriers and opening doors to entry-level careers in health care. By investing in the education of future providers, we are not only supporting individual dreams but also strengthening the future of health care in our region.
The scholarship recipients, students at Rogue Community College, were recently notified about the awards and will use the funds to advance their education and training in high-demand health disciplines. We’re proud to support the next generation of caregivers and first responders as they begin their journeys into service.

The Allied Health Scholarship was established in 2022 and was formally endowed in 2024 thanks to a generous gift of $400,000 from the Earth and Humanity Foundation. Their inspiration for establishing the endowment was to help alleviate the shortage of health care workers in our valley, which was exacerbated by the pandemic, and felt ACHF would be a good steward for these scholarships.
Since the inception of the Allied Health Scholarship, $82,900 has been invested to support 39 aspiring health care professionals. ACHF is grateful the Earth and Humanity Foundation has invested such a generous gift with the foundation, ensuring that resources will be here for students in our community in perpetuity.
Students enrolled in allied and emergency health programs, including medical and dental assistants, pharmacy technicians, phlebotomists, paramedics and emergency service professionals who are interested in applying for a scholarship can find more information about eligibility and application requirements here.
