Since 1977, Ashland Community Hospital Foundation has dedicated itself to supporting Ashland Community Hospital and the health care needs of our community.
We have operated as an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization throughout our history. Our staff and office have been provided by the hospital to help further our mission.
Recently, Asante made the decision to discontinue its support and will no longer provide resources to staff our ACH Foundation office at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. These resources will be redirected to other purposes.
As we look to the future, we know healthcare will continue to evolve and innovate. The focus on community health (population health) will change when, where and how healthcare is delivered. Prevention and wellness will become even bigger priorities and community partnerships will be more important than ever.
After 43 years, it is time for Ashland Community Hospital Foundation to evolve and innovate as well. The loss of support from Asante has presented us with a unique opportunity to reimagine how we can impact the health of our community. After thoughtful consideration, our Board of Directors has voted unanimously to continue our work as a fully independent foundation.
Our Foundation’s Next Chapter
Our foundation is about to begin its next chapter and we are invigorated by the chance to grow in new and innovative directions. We will remain champions for our community hospital, grant funds to enhance Asante Ashland services and explore ways we can expand our reach to support additional health-related projects in Ashland and Talent.
The foundation will relocate our office and keep our current staff. More important, we will continue our dedication and service to you, ensuring that your charitable gifts address important needs in our community and help you make a difference in the lives of your family, friends and neighbors.
You are important to us! We value your generosity and hope we can continue to partner with you on this exciting journey. If you have questions about our new direction, please contact Janet Troy.
Thank you for all you have done to support our mission over the years!
Sincerely,
Ed Colson, President
