State-of-the-art ultrasound machine expands imaging services at AACH
Ashland Community Health Foundation has been supporting equipment needs, programs, and facility improvements at Ashland’s hospital for more than four decades.
Recently, ACHF invested just over $83,100 to support the purchase of a new state-of-the-art ultrasound unit for the Imaging Department at Asante Ashland Community Hospital (AACH). According to hospital leaders, the department has been experiencing an increase in patient volumes over the past few years.
The new ultrasound unit gives AACH the ability to keep up with patient demand. The unit will also expand services to include musculoskeletal imaging for tendons, joints, ligaments, and other affected soft tissue.
The unit has enhanced technology that produces higher resolution images allowing technicians to more quickly visualize subtle changes in the patient’s tissue. This upgrade provides a greater level of accuracy and better outcomes for patients.
Overall, the addition of the unit can improve the patient experience, lessen the physical burden on staff members due to updated ergonomics, and gives AACH the ability to expand its imaging services to meet the growing needs of the community.
ACHF is pleased to be able to support the purchase of the ultrasound unit so that people in our community can access the care they need close to home.
