We are thrilled to announce that longtime Ashland resident Margie Lininger has been named our newest emeritus board member.
Margie retired from the board in 2021 after serving two six-year terms from 2008 – 2013 and 2016 – 2021. She held many leadership positions over the years and always participated with passion and determination.
Most notably Margie served as the board secretary throughout her second term, and as chair of the Evans Endowed Nursing Scholarship Committee from 2010 to 2021. Margie was also recognized with the 2013 Distinguished Service Award for service to the community through the hospital and foundation.
Since she retired from her career as a middle school teacher and principal, she has served on the board of directors of the Ashland Family YMCA, the Reed and Carolee Walker Fund Advisory Committee of the Oregon Community Foundation, and the Session of First Presbyterian Church. Margie Lininger was married to the late Gregg Lininger and proudly claims two married children and four grandchildren.
As an emeritus board member, she continues to serve in an advisory role offering her wisdom and guidance to the foundation.
