Celebrating decades of support to the foundation and community
For over four decades, Diane Williams has been a dedicated supporter of ACHF. Since her first gift in the early 1980’s, she has been committed to improving the health and well-being of our Ashland, Talent, and Phoenix communities.
Diane is a retired pediatrician whose practice was across the street from Ashland Community Hospital. She grew up in Ashland and has a long history of volunteering with both the hospital and the foundation.
She served on the ACHF board from 1998-2000 and again in 2013-2015. During that time she participated in several committees, including the Evans Nursing Scholarship Committee. Today, Diane continues her service by remaining a valued member of the scholarship committee.
You may recognize Diane if you’ve had kids in Ashland schools and programs. She has been medical director for the Ashland Family YMCA’s summer program at Camp DeBoer, and also a provider at the School-Based Health Center for the Ashland School District.
Diane currently serves on boards for the Ashland Family YMCA, Celia’s House, and Jefferson Regional Health Alliance. She also volunteers with Asante and St. Vincent de Paul, an organization that works to keep families in Ashland and Talent in their homes through rental and utility assistance programs.
The Distinguished Service Award is presented to individuals when their service to the community through our foundation has been clearly distinguished by length, intensity, devotion, and significant accomplishment. The foundation holds a special place in their hearts, and their work has resulted in significant accomplishments for ACHF and its mission.
Nominations for the award are accepted from members of the foundation Board of Directors and past award recipients, and the annual honoree is selected by the Distinguished Service Award committee.
Diane was honored at our annual Donor Celebration on October 12, 2024. Thanks and congratulations to Diane!
